My Story

Growing up, I was naturally inquisitive and deeply reflective. Even at a young age, I understood the value of time, the importance of balance, and the power of vision to achieve goals.

I saw family members working jobs that were stressful, unfulfilling, and led to burnout and health challenges. This planted a seed in me — a desire to find meaningful, fulfilling work where I could use my strengths, gifts, and passions. I didn’t just want to exist; I wanted to excel.

But life happened. After graduation, I needed a job to start repaying student loans. Before I knew it, I was working 60+ hour weeks and staring burnout in the face. Still, I believed meaningful work and good pay were not mutually exclusive. Determined to find a better way, I pivoted into a career in learning and development — a space where passion and purpose intersected.

As I looked around, I realized many peers felt stuck in discouraging, stressful, or unclear work situations. Conversations were often filled with fear of change and uncertainty.\

Then 2020 turned our lives upside down but also gave us the gift of slowing down and reflecting. I realized that finding a career that truly fits isn’t just possible for me—it’s possible for everyone. And the knowledge I’ve gained could help so many others.

Harnessing my professional experience in leadership development and adult learning, I became a certified coach and expanded into training and facilitation. Through PorchLight Coaching & Development, I now help individuals and organizations find clarity, meaning, and purpose — guiding them through pivotal transitions with practical coaching and engaging training experiences.

I’m convinced that now is the time for fresh starts, for uncovering what you truly want, and for letting your purpose take root. It is my honor and privilege to support you every step of the way.
